The project is affiliated with the Australian Research Council’s Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide and is housed within the UQ School of Chemical Engineering’s Dow Centre for Sustainable Engineering Innovation.

Additionally, this position will involve co-supervision by Professor Saleem H. Ali, a partner investigator from the Department of Geography and Spatial Sciences at the University of Delaware, USA. Furthermore, funds will be provided for the student to undertake periods of study at the University of Delaware.

This scholarship includes:

  • living stipend of $33,641 per annum tax-free (2024 rate), indexed annually
  • tuition fees covered
  • single overseas student health cover (OSHC) for international students.

This project is supported by the Research project scholarship.

A working knowledge of engineering, natural and social sciences would be of benefit to someone working on this project.

You will demonstrate academic achievement in the field/s of industrial ecology as well as social science techniques to consider uptake of new technologies and the potential for scholastic success.

A background or knowledge of industrial ecology as well as science and technology studies (STS)  is highly desirable.
